Driving the Future of Energy: Tressl Joins Prestigious Program for High-Growth Startups

Thursday, September 19, 2024 - We are proud to announce that Tressl has been accepted into the specialized Energy Stream at Creative Destruction Lab (CDL-Rockies), an objectives-based program designed for massively scalable, seed-stage, science- and technology-based companies.

Located at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, the Energy Stream at CDL-Rockies is for startups developing transformational technologies in the energy sector, and Tressl’s selection for this program underscores the potential of its innovative approach to digitizing land management processes, which is rapidly gaining traction within the industry.

Companies in the CDL-Rockies Energy Stream benefit from guidance provided by world-leading scientists, economists, and industry experts in energy technologies. These advisors meet with companies periodically to evaluate their technologies, suggest improvements, and explore potential advisory roles.

Joel Edwards, Founder and CEO of Tressl, commented on the company’s recent accomplishment, “Joining the Creative Destruction Lab’s Energy program is a pivotal moment for Tressl, and we are honoured to have the opportunity to work with a world-class network of industry experts, mentors, and investors. We look forward to scaling our platform and enhancing our impact on the energy industry.”

Tressl’s SaaS platform transforms how energy companies manage land agreements, approvals, invoicing, and compliance, streamlining these processes with seamless task management, real-time collaboration, and integrated tracking. By digitizing workflows, Tressl reduces errors, enhances decision-making, and ensures regulatory compliance, helping companies maintain efficiency and accuracy.

Along with the other startups accepted to the 2024/2025 CDL-Rockies Energy Stream cohort, Tressl will participate in five objective-setting sessions between October and June. Founders will work with CDL mentors to set clear objectives, prioritize resources, raise capital, and engage with experts working on the frontiers of research.

CDL mentors include accomplished entrepreneurs, experienced operators, active angel and venture investors, as well as world-leading scientists, engineers, and economists. Mentors meet with founders every eight weeks throughout the nine-month program to guide them through key milestones.
